5800.00 243C WOW WOW WOW This is the best cameo set ever.Still comes in its original sharbrown case.There are 18 museum quality cameos.Necklace,ring,double drop earrings and Medusa buckle with snakes.The ring has the hand holding the dove and is a size 8.The buckle has 2 nice cameos and a Medusa cameo in the middle with snakes on the metal.It does come apart.The cameos slide off the gold.The large cameos are 1 1/8 by 1.The earrings were originally a single drop and the cameos from the 2 small beauty pins which are missing were added to make them a 2 drop earrings.The wires are kinda kinked but could be straightened out or replaced.They hang down 1 3/4 inches.The whole item is 9 ct gold not marked but tested.The necklace is tripled chained and is 15 inches the largest cameo being 1 3/8.These are pink conch cameos that look like coral.Even the catch has a tiny cameo on it.There will never be another as complete as this set.A truly one of a kind.The price is firm on this.I will ship free in the US registered mail insured.I will not ship overseas. 5800.00 242C A RARE AND HIGHILY SOUGHT AFTER HORSES OF THE SUN WITH THE 3 FATES.This is one of my finest cameos from my own collection.It is at least 15 ct gold may be higher not marked but tested.The setting has 8- 5 pt diamonds and an enamel frame.Has the t bar but a newer safety catch.It is huge 2 7/8 by 3 3/4.These are the horse of the sun and the 3 fates.The cameo does have some lines mainly because the shell is so large and old.They are only seen when held to light.The carving is mint and museum quality.From around 1860.It came from a very important estate near Rodeo Dr.There is one tiny little flap over missing see line.You cannot even tell just looking. this before in a cameo
anywhere.One of my viewers wrote .I am certain that we are looking at a scene from the ballet Psyche choreographed by Maxmilien Gardel in 1790 at Paris Opera,and the only version of this anacreontic ballet, where two Zephyrs were partnering Psyche. Psyche was danced by Marie Miller. I suppose, that she is partnered here by her husband Louis Duport, and Carlo Blasis, the most famous of Gardel's pupils The setting is 15-18 kt gold.It is huge and much nicer in person.The size is 2 1/2 by 2 7/8.Has the t bar and an early safety catch.There are some lines only seen when held to light.They are natural.From around 1860.Lots of gold also. 1295.00 Marriage shell The is a VERY RARE CAMEO SHELL I BELIEVE TO BE OF A MARRIAGE BETWEEN 2 FAMILIES.The shell is signed and dated 1938.At the top and around the sides are 2 snakes of a man and women.Snakes stand for everlasting-eternal.The bottom has been carved out and on the back is a portrait with door that opens. Intricate catch and carving.I would say the 6 main figures on the front are the moms and dads and grandparents.The faces in the flowers are brothers and sisters.
