695.00 JUST IN 1124C This is a MUSEUM QUALITY CARVED IVORY CAMEO OF FLORA.This is pre-ban ivory.Very rare to see a head with acorns.The size is 1 1/2 by 2.It does have the holes on the back but no pin.Easy for a jeweler to attach a pin.From aorund 1860,I believe it is French Dieppe.Very fine carving and she has a braid in her hair.There is one tiny line on her forehead barely seen.There is also a line running thru the bottom of the breast-plate you cannot see unless you turn the cameo upside down and a small line thru one of the acorns on her head..The swirls on her face are reflections.Fabulous condition and size for the age.CLICKCLICKCLICKCLICK |

2495.00 JUST IN 1123C From my own collection the LARGEST AND BEST PRE BAN IVORY CHERUB EVER.Takes up my whole hand.It is 3 inches by 3 inches and stands up 7/8 inch.Fabulous condition.There is a tiny line on the forehead that may be a carved mark.It weighs 55.4 grams.I have never seen one this large before in such fine condition.This is a huge piece of pre-ban elephant ivory around 1850.So impressive and nicer in person.Would look fabulous on a string of pearls.CLICKCLICKCLICKCLICKCLICK |

575.00 104IC This is a RARE AND FINE CAMEO OF AN OLD MAN AND LITTLE BOY.It is carved in pre-ban ivory.This is probably a French Dieppe item.Scenic ivory cameos from this period are very rare and hard to get.I have never seen on like this before.The setting is 9ct gold and marked.The age is from around 1860 the setting is newer.So much detail.The man has a cape and walking stick and the little boy has his hat and a walking stick also.The cameo is mint no wear.There is one tiny area on the left side which I think a good jeweler could push the bezel over.They are carved in high relief.CLICKclick |

2400.00 106MC WOW HAVE YOU EVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE?From my own collection a hand carved tortoise shell cameo necklace with 8 cameos.I have looked at this very carefully and it is perfect.The only thing I see is one of the cameos seems to be upside down which I think a good jeweler could un glue it and turn it the other way or it may have been meant to be that way.Also there may have been a cameo in each of the top blank pieces as there is a tiny hole for a stake..The necklace is 21" long and the drop is another 3".It does open at the back with a hook.The cameos are all hand carved and that of Baccantes except the one in the middle before the drop looks like Hera..This is a large and impressive piece form the 1880.The discs in the neckalce are 2" long.There will never be another.CLICKCLICKCLICKCLICKCLICK |
